Just and Update

wassup guys..here's just an update on what's been going on. (random-peep the Obama picture in the background. =P) this month I've been working with the Fly By Nature for the Hay Now! Productions Fashion and Talent Show Extravaganza. from promotion, to designing outfits, to coreographing the different scenes, me and the team have been busy preparing for this saturday night, which is the day of the show.

Rodney and I have also been busy on working on Shoestrings&Pocketbooks. we've came up with a release date for it..but I'll release that at a later time (; people have been asking about it, but still not enough as I would like. so my job now is to keep promoting, so when we release it, it won't be a suprise. a music video for a song off the track will be coming at you guys real soon! so be on the lookout for that.

other than that though, I've just been getting ready to go back to school. as sophomore class president, I've been doing some things to prepare for that responsibility. I also have to be concious of everything that I do and say, because there will ALWAYS be someone watching..and ready to take your spot as soon as they see you slip up...

Meet The Team - Fly By Nature

this is just a vid that Kentrell made for our official introduction of the FBN and Co. team. it's quite epic..enjoy! (=

Clarks Desert Boots

so i was in the mall the other week with my bro Mike, and we came across a store with the brand name that i had seen all over Street Etiquette's blog-Clarks. i was eccstatic because i knew for a fact, that they sold the Desert Boots, which i had been looking for for a long time. they run about $95.00 a pair. i'll probably get some tan ones first, because they're a good neutral color. i'm kind of mad because it's hot outside and the Desert Boots are a winter/fall shoe. loafers and saddle shoes are more appropiate for the weather. i go back to school soon, so my main shoe priority are some all black loafers...

[picture below] Joshua Kissi the exact Desert Boots that I want...and I picture myself wearing them the exact same way that he is. haha

a final spring essential breakdown

first off, I truely want to apologize to all of the people that were waiting for me to finish the spring essentials series, but i became too busy with running for sophomore class president, fbn, etc. I APPOLOGIZE!!! i will definetly make it up to you all with some on point summer posts (=

this post is going to be my last spring post, even though it's well into summer...i just wanted to leave you all off on a good note. these are just a few pointers and tips i've learned about spring style and i can share those with you. that means that next year, you'll already have a few ideas of your wardrobe before the spring season actually hits.

let's start with the guy on the left: Joshua Kissi, who is actually my inspiration in the fashion world! in the springtime, like i said before, it's all about COLORS! but you can never go wrong with the classic white dress shirt. just make sure it's cotton, so it's nice and cool. patterned ties are also a springtime MUST. polka dots, stripes, plaid, etc. it always heightens your outfit. try going with the cotton, skinny ties. skinny ties say i'm wearing a tie, and i know what i'm doing. they're the trendy type of tie vs. the old fashion, church-going ones that we're so used to seeing. you're not a jerk; so you don't have to wear skinny jeans everytime you put a pair on, but PLEASE don't go back to baggy! if you still want to keep a clean-cut appearance without jeans that are tight around your ankles, try switching over to fitted jeans. they're the same as skinny, except not as tight. also, roll them up and wear no socks! i love this look. it automatically gives anything you wear, a preppy edge. the brown belt and loafers are also a must. no matter if it's dark or light brown, brown is a MUST for the spring time. on both outfits, the waistcoat is a traditional timeless peice, that every guy should have in their wardrobe.

on the left is another young man and i forgot his name...lol /:. but in the spring, you have to have at least one fedora. they're preppy and they can add the right touch to certain outfits. you can also wear them with t-shirts, not just dress shirts. the green and white striped shirt is good because it adds a bit more color to your outfit. the plaid tie is beautiful, especially with the tie clip (remember the thing about mixing and matching your patterns?) the white pocket hankerchief is also really nice. haha, when i first saw these pants, i thought they were pajamas! but then i noticed the cuffs, pleats, and creases and i realized that they were slacks. i like them, and i'm sure that i'll buy at least one pair. i've yet to find any though. but when i do, il'l be sure to let you all know the source! i thought that the green and white striped socks were a bit much, but then i realized that they went with his shirt. the two-toned saddle shoes are also a personal favorite of mine. i don't know which ones i like better: them or the loafers...both of them are good to have though!

just an update

what's up guys. sooo just an update on how things are going..one word: GOOD! (= right now i'm working on designing at least twenty outfits to design for the Hay Now! Productions fashion show that Fly By Nature and Co. is participating in. that's going to be a process! but knowing now what i learned from designing outfits for the fashion preview photo shoot, i should be good. i've also been busy writing and recording with Rodney for Shoestrings and Pocketbooks, which will be released soon! but i know that i'm going to have to put that on hold so i can put all of my energy into the fashion show. Taishma Owens and I have already choreographed all of the scenes that we're in charge of. now it's just a matter of teaching it to the rest of the models. regardless, i'm about to put all of my time and focus into designing the outfits. it is a process that i'm truly looking forward to!
