sorry guys, i've been busy with school and starting on the documentary! =) i haven't been recording lately for the mixtape, but i've still been writing. i've been working on FBN. seeing how things are coming together, it's a lot more work than i thought, so the photoshoot is going to be moved to the second weekend in may instead of april 10th. i know it's a lot longer, but if i want it to be the best, i have to make sure i have everything in place!

my thoughts of the day

hello everyone. i know it's been a minute. but (like always), i've been busy! i'm back in school now. my spring break was good. it felt good to catch up on some much needed rest. i also got a chance to write more lyrics for the Taking Flight Mixtape. i'm kind of pressing things now for FBN. my goal is to have the photo shoot on April 10th..that means we need to finish up the designs ASAP. Rodney will be helping me with the guys, and Jessica will be working on the girl designs. i've been networking networking networking over the break. some big things are coming up. i've been talking with kentrell ziengler and my own mini documentary series is going to be launching! it will include footage from me doing everyday things, meetings with the FBN team, footage from the making of Taking Flight, etc. you can expect it a little bit later. also, we're making a music video. if not for the single, 'On Our Grind' ft. Big Rod, then for the other single, 'She Don't Wanna Man'. we are going to be working on that a little bit later, so it will be coming probably right after the premier of the documentary. it's time to set myself apart from the crowd...but my next steps will probably be getting the designs for FBN, then focusing on the photo shoot on the 10th. even though it's not a runway fashion show or anything, there's still a lot to do

spring time is here...these are a few accessories that will help you to look your best. to me-spring time is all about COLORS!

this is one of my personal favorites. the straw fedora hats work in the spring as well as the summer. the most stylish ones i know right now is the 'stingy', in referance to its super-narrow brim

the wire-frame aviators are the classics that everyone's used to; but wearing the plastic framed aviators ad sort of a new-futuristic twist

most guys have caught on to the 1960's Mad Men square pocket thing. stay ahead by mixing plaids and checks in rotation. be sure to wear them over solid color shirts to avoid pattern overkill

nothing's wrong with the traditional brown sperry's, but why not do something different? try a new line of splashy color instead

i know that it's not black history month, but so what? there were several of african american men who inspired and brought a lot to the fashion world. sammy davis jr., richard prior, marvin gaye, etc. these are just a few that brought new things to the plate. if i want to do this like i say i do, it's not only my responsibility, but my job to follow in their footsteps

hello everyone! i hope everyone that's out on spring break are enjoying their time. for the past couple of days, it's been all about fun for me. i've been hanging with friends, staying up all nights watching movies and eating junkfood, and sleeping in in the mornings. i love it! but i know it's time for me to start getting back to work. right now it's currently 1:06 a.m and i'm at my aunt's house until saturday. she saw my blog and wanted me to come over to teach her a few tricks :) i'm glad i'm down here though, because i can use this time to get a lot of sketches done for FBN. i've been working on the mixtape lately too. it's kind of hard balancing two projects at the same time, but i love them both so it's worth it. i just finished this colabo track called On Our Grind with Rodney. it's dope. i'll probably post it when i get back home. but yeah, that's just an update. i'll probably get a lot done tommorow, so i'll make sure to keep you all posted!
